Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and other countries have wrapped up a series of summit talks in Cambodia. The summit meetings highlighted divisions among ASEAN members over Russia&#039;s invasion of Ukraine.
                
A Ukrainian diplomatic source said the bloc decided not to screen a video address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the sessions as members couldn&#039;t reach a consensus on whether to do so.
                
Zelenskyy had asked to deliver a speech in phone talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, who hosted the meetings.
                
Some ASEAN members were apparently cool on that idea as they have close ties with Russia.
                
Last month, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos abstained from a vote at the UN General Assembly condemning Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.
                
Cambodia offered to host talks between Russia and Ukraine, but Hun Sen said the two sides didn&#039;t meet.
The Cambodian leader said there was no sign peace talks are imminent.
                
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba signed his country up to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia. He didn&#039;t attend the East Asia Summit, in which Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part.
                
Kuleba had said he would consider talks if Lavrov requested them. No such invitation was forthcoming.
                
On the first day of the summits, the ASEAN leaders discussed the continuing crackdown by Myanmar&#039;s military junta on pro-democracy forces.
                
The group again urged the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus, a peace plan the junta agreed to last year. The leaders agreed to set a timeline for that goal, but failed to announce one.
