1. A massive fire in a high-rise residential complex in Hong Kong's Tai Po district has resulted in at least 83 deaths and over 70 injuries. Many residents are still unaccounted for. 2. The fires have been largely extinguished in six of the eight affected towers, each with over 30 stories. The cause of the fire is currently unknown but may be linked to bamboo scaffolding used for repairs and non-compliant protective nets. 3. The Hong Kong government has announced measures to support affected residents, including financial aid and other assistance. Three people from the construction company overseeing the repair project have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
