1. Chinese military aircraft, including J-15 fighters, took off from and landed on an aircraft carrier (Liaoning) in waters between Okinawa's main island and Daito Islands, marking the first confirmed such activity in this area by the Defense Ministry of Japan.

2. The Liaoning has been sailing from the East China Sea into the Pacific since Friday, passing between Okinawa's main island and Miyakojima Island on Sunday, and northeast between Okinawa's main island and Minami Daitojima on Sunday as well. The carrier was also spotted east of Kikaijima Island.

3. Japanese Air Self-Defense Force fighter jets were scrambled in response, but no violations of Japan's airspace have been reported so far. The Defense Ministry remains on alert and is closely monitoring the situation.
