Iran says it is ready to talk with Ukraine about allegations that it provided Russia with suicide drones used to attack Ukrainian targets.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani made the remark in a statement on Tuesday.
He dismissed the allegations from Ukraine. Kanaani called them "baseless claims that are made based on false information and spiteful assumptions."
He noted that Iran is ready to hold talks with Ukraine to dispel such allegations.
US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel expressed concerns about Russia-Iran relations in a news conference on Tuesday.
He said, "Russia deepening an alliance with Iran is something the entire world, especially those in the region, should view as a profound threat."
Vedant also said that the United States "will continue to take practical, aggressive steps" to make weapons sales harder for Iran, including sanctions and export control.
