US, S.Korea conduct joint air force drill after N.Korea missile launch NHK

Air forces from the US and South Korea have conducted a joint exercise, following North Korea's missile launch on Saturday.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported on Sunday that the drill earlier in the day involved about 10 aircraft, including at least one US B-1 bomber.

The South Korean military said fighter jets from the two sides escorted the B-1 aircraft during the drill.

North Korea announced on Sunday morning that it test-fired a Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile on Saturday.

The US and South Korea plan to conduct a tabletop exercise against North Korea's nuclear threats on Wednesday, followed by a regular joint military drill in mid-March.
