The bodies of eight Thai workers killed on Israeli soil have arrived in Thailand. The individuals are said to have died in an attack carried out by the Islamist group Hamas. They had reportedly been working on farms in Israel. The coffins arrived at an airport near Bangkok on Friday morning. Officials from Thailand's foreign ministry and the Israeli embassy gathered at the airport. They offered flowers and paid their respects, after the eight coffins were removed from the aircraft. The coffins were then put into cars. The vehicles departed to deliver the coffins to the families. Lamphoei Kusaram lost his two sons in the attack. They had been working at an Israeli farm near the Gaza Strip. Lamphoei said that he feels very sorry for his sons. He also said that he cannot accept their deaths. About 30,000 Thai workers were employed in Israel before the recent conflict broke out. They worked in agriculture and other industries. The Thai government said 30 of the country's nationals had been confirmed dead, as of Friday. Officials say 16 others have been injured and 19 have been taken hostage by Hamas.
