A majority of Twitter users who responded to a poll on CEO Elon Musk said he should step down. Musk asked people on his Twitter account if he should step down as head of the company, adding that he would abide by the results of the poll. The polling was closed on Monday. Fifty-seven-point-five percent of about 17 million votes were in favor of his resignation. The focus now is on when he will quit as the platform's chief executive and how the management team should be changed. Musk has used polls on Twitter in the past to make important decisions, including reinstating the account of former US president Donald Trump. Trump's account had been permanently banned. He has been taking flak for suspending the accounts of journalists working for leading US media and for changing posting rules for Twitter. He tweeted on Sunday that, going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes.
