On Tuesday, Santa Claus made a surprise visit to a nursery school in Miyako City.
When children shouted "Santa Claus," he appeared saying "Merry Christmas." They all clapped and cheered.
The children asked him questions, such as, "What is that book in your hand?" and "How old are you?"
Santa replied that it is a magic book that makes everyone's wishes come true, and that he is 465 years old.
The children then danced to a song to express their gratitude for the gifts they received from Santa.
A six-year-old said it was the first time he had ever seen Santa Claus.
A girl said Santa looked cool.
