China's Defense Ministry says Defense Minister Li Shangfu is visiting Russia and its ally Belarus from Monday.
The ministry says Li is on a six-day trip to the two countries at the invitation of his Russian and Belarusian counterparts, Sergei Shoigu and Viktor Khrenin.
During his first stop in Russia, Li will deliver a speech at a forum and meet with Russian officials.
In Belarus, he will meet with President Alexander Lukashenko.
Li last visited Russia in April and met with President Vladimir Putin and Shoigu.
