Trump vows to sign 'record-setting' number of executive actions NHK

US President-elect Donald Trump says he will sign a "record-setting" number of executive actions after taking his oath of office on Monday.

Trump made the remark in a phone interview with NBC News on Saturday.

He commented on his campaign promise to carry out mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, saying the program will "begin very early, very quickly."

But Trump said he cannot say from which city it will start "because things are evolving." He added that people will "see it firsthand."

A plane carrying Trump departed from the southern state of Florida, where his estate is located, and arrived at an airport near Washington on Saturday.

US media say Trump later went to his golf club nearby and attended a gathering of friends and others.

He plans to hold a rally of supporters in downtown Washington on Sunday.
