South Korean media say more than 50 people suffered cardiac arrests in a stampede in Seoul's Itaewon district on Saturday night. They reportedly seemed to fall on top of one another at an event to celebrate Halloween. Yonhap News Agency says more than 50 people are receiving treatment after experiencing cardiac arrest. A huge crowd had converged on the district to celebrate the autumn festival. Footage from South Korea's public broadcaster KBS shows emergency crews performing CPR on many people lying on the ground. Yonhap says that President Yoon Suk-yeol ordered medics to swiftly administer first aid to the injured.
