Israel has continued attacks across the Gaza Strip after announcing a pause in its military activities in a southern area to allow more humanitarian aid into the enclave. The Israeli military said on Sunday the pause would apply to a path from the Kerem Shalom crossing to a key road and further north. The route can be used to deliver humanitarian supplies to Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Despite the announcement, operations have continued across Gaza. Local media have reported six deaths, including that of a small child in an Israeli air raid in central Gaza on Sunday. An attack on Gaza City in the northern area on Monday left two dead and 13 others injured, including children. Gazan health authorities announced that the death toll in the enclave since the start of the conflict had climbed to 37,337. Meanwhile, fighting also continues between Israeli forces and the Lebanese Shia Muslim group Hezbollah. Last week, Hezbollah launched more than 300 rockets in two days. In response, Israeli forces attacked Hezbollah strongholds, raising tensions between the two sides. Israeli media have reported that a special envoy of US President Joe Biden will visit Israel as early as Monday to discuss the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. Attention is focused on whether the they can prevent further escalation of the fighting with Hezbollah.
