Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met his Japanese counterpart in Kyiv and expressed concern over North Korea's dispatch of its soldiers to Russia.
During the meeting on Saturday, Sybiha said the visit by Japan's Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi is extremely important for relations between the two countries.
Iwaya explained his government's plans to continue supporting Ukraine with the help of the country's private sector.
The plans include providing additional vehicles from the Self-Defense Forces, as well as electric power equipment to help people survive the coming severe winter.
After the meeting, Sybiha said that with the dispatch of North Korea's soldiers to the battlefield Pyongyang is likely to obtain new technical cooperation from Russia.
He stressed that the issue of Ukraine has proven to be a serious challenge, not only for Europe, but also the international community.
Ukraine's foreign minister expressed strong concern about the possibility of new technology transfers from Russia to North Korea, especially missile and nuclear technology.
He said that in the future it will be even more necessary to take a strong stance against global threats.
