The Ukrainian military says Russia has carried out a drone attack on the southern region of Odesa, damaging port infrastructure.
Ukrainian officials said their forces shot down 22 of the 25 Iranian-made drones that Russia launched in the early hours of Sunday. But they said some of them hit a civilian port facility on the Danube River in southern Odesa, causing a fire and injuring at least two people.
The Danube has become Ukraine's main route for exporting agricultural products since Russia pulled out of a deal that allowed grain to be shipped from Black Sea ports.
The head of Ukraine's presidential office, Andriy Yermak, wrote on social media that "Russian terrorists continue to attack port infrastructure in the hope of provoking a food crisis and famine in the world."
The Turkish president is scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday. Recep Tayyip Erdogan is likely to urge a resumption of the grain initiative brokered by Turkey and the United Nations.
