The figure is down 891 from a week ago. The daily tally has marked a decrease for 6 straight days.
The number of seriously ill patients who are on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines is 45, unchanged from the day before.
The ministry also confirmed 25 deaths.
Nationwide, 76,264 new cases and 208 deaths have been confirmed.
