Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has issued a warning about fake news after a Taiwanese YouTuber visited the country and staged his own kidnapping. A court in the south handed both Chen Neng-chuan and his cameraman a two-year prison sentence last week. They were also fined nearly 1,000 dollars each. Authorities arrested the pair on February 14 after they live-streamed a video made to look like Chen was being assaulted and abducted. The court accuses them of attempting to incite chaos. On Monday, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said the pair tried to destroy Cambodia. He said, "You can produce fake images wherever you want, except Cambodia. They will seriously affect the honor of our country." He also warned other influencers could face a similar fate.
