South Korea's joint investigation unit says it will ask President Yoon Suk-yeol to appear for questioning over his short-lived declaration of martial law. The unit, which includes investigators from the police and other organizations, made the announcement on Monday morning. South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports that the team will ask Yoon to appear at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. It says Yoon will be questioned on suspicions of internal insurrection and abuse of power. In a separate move, prosecutors reportedly plan to send a second summons to Yoon as early as Monday after he failed to show up for questioning the previous day. The National Assembly passed an impeachment motion against Yoon on Saturday. The Constitutional Court will decide whether Yoon's impeachment was appropriate. The court held its first meeting on Monday morning to discuss scheduling and other procedures.
