US President Donald Trump has arrived in Saudi Arabia on the first leg of his four-day trip to the Middle East.
Trump arrived at an airport in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on Tuesday. During the trip, he will also visit Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
It is Trump's first full-scale overseas trip since assuming his second term in office. He also visited Saudi Arabia on his first overseas trip of his first term.
The president is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and give a speech at a meeting of investors from the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Trump and the crown prince are expected to discuss ways to expand investment and strengthen economic cooperation.
The talks may also cover deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza, Iran's nuclear program and other issues in the Middle East.
In their phone conversation in January, the crown prince told Trump that Saudi Arabia plans to invest about 600 billion dollars in the US over the next four years.
