The Japanese leader will first hold bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden. The meeting is set for Wednesday. They want to deepen defense ties and strengthen cooperation in other fields such as economic security and space.

Kishida will also meet with key business figures such as Microsoft President Brad Smith.

Kishida is also scheduled to offer flowers at the Arlington National Cemetery for American soldiers.
