Russia says it stopped Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow NHK

Russia's defense ministry says the country's air defenses stopped eight drones attempting to attack Moscow on Tuesday.

The ministry said that day it intercepted all the drones, either shooting them down or jamming their systems to divert them off course.

But Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on social media that two buildings were damaged. He said no one was seriously wounded in the attacks, but that two injured people were treated on the spot.

Russian media say residents of the damaged tall buildings in southwestern Moscow were temporarily evacuated.

The Russian defense ministry said the attacks were terror attempts by Ukraine, but has not supplied evidence to support the claim.
