Japanese teen arrested over suspected murder of grandfather NHK

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in central Japan on suspicion of murdering his grandfather.



The 75-year-old man and his 72-year-old wife were found dead at their home in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, on Friday. Police arrested the boy the following day.



He has reportedly admitted to the charges and is suggesting that he also killed his grandmother. He was sent to prosecutors on Sunday.



He told investigators that he stabbed his grandparents with a knife in the house where they all lived. The police found the knife that is believed to have been used in the attack.



Police say there were multiple wounds and cuts on the victims' bodies, suggesting that the boy persistently attacked them. Investigators believe the couple died from neck wounds.
