A deadly explosion occurred at a mosque in Peshawar, northern Pakistan, on Monday afternoon as a large crowd gathered for prayer. Local authorities said 28 people have been confirmed dead and about 120 wounded. A police officer said some people are still trapped under debris. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the blast, but police suspect it was a terrorist attack. The Pakistani Taliban unilaterally declared an end to the ceasefire agreement with the government last year and resumed terror attacks across the country.
