Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has acknowledged China's proposal for peace talks and a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, saying Russia is giving a great deal of attention to the Chinese plan.
Peskov on Monday made the comments on a paper published by the Chinese Foreign Ministry last week.
He said any attempts to develop plans that will contribute to bringing peace to the conflict deserve attention. He said China's peace plan should be carefully analyzed in detail, taking into account the interests of all the different parties.
He then said that at the moment, Russia does not see any prerequisites for heading in the direction of peace. He said Russia will move to achieve the set goal as long as what the country calls its special military operation continues.
