People from Myanmar and their supporters held a protest against Myanmar&#039;s military in Tokyo on Thursday, the third anniversary of the coup.
                
About 300 people gathered in front of Myanmar&#039;s embassy and demanded the democratization of the country.
                
They shouted, &quot;Release Aung San Suu Kyi&quot; and &quot;Set citizens free&quot; while holding placards and banners that urged the military to stop killing civilians.
                
A 31-year-old woman from Yangon said her parents and younger brother live in Myanmar&#039;s largest city and she is very worried because they say explosions can be heard sometimes. She called for action to save people in Myanmar.
                
A 30-year-old man from the suburbs of Yangon says his friends and acquaintances have suffered violence from the military or been detained.
                
He said he feels very sad to hear about the grim situation in Myanmar, while leading a peaceful life in Japan. He added that things are becoming even worse three years after the coup, and he wants the international community to cut ties with the military.
                
Another man who has lived in Japan for about a decade said there are some things the Japanese government can do, such as helping people in Myanmar to obtain visas more easily.
                
He called for support so that people from Myanmar can stay and work in Japan after escaping oppression.
