Shaquille O'Neal reveals incredible body transformation, he's absolutely shredded Max Sherry Shaquille O'Neal is jacked – seriously, seriously jacked. The NBA legend has gone through an incredible body transformation since retiring from basketball in 2011. According to multiple reports, the 7-foot-1-inch man mountain once tipped the scales at 181kg (400 pounds). But in a clip posted to social media recently, he looks absolutely shredded for someone of his sheer size. Credit: Instagram/shaq The video, which has now gone viral, has been viewed nearly 10 million times on Instagram alone. On top of that, it has racked up almost 1 million likes with fans flocking to the comments section to heap praise on Shaq – and for good reason too. In the footage itself, the four-time NBA champion whips off his short before sitting down on a lat pull-down machine. He then effortlessly moves an insane amount of weight, completing a full set with relative ease. It's hard to make out exactly how many kilos he's shifting – but it looks like a lot. After completing his set, Shaq then stands up and flexes into the camera lens, showing off his chiseled six pack abs. When he posted the video to Instagram, people were loving it. Hollywood megastar Michale B Jordan commented: "Yessir!!!" While professional bodybuilder Jesse James West added: "Yo let’s train big guy." And popular social media page Hot Freestyle joked: "Lakers about to give you a contract." Throughout his decorated career, many people - including his former teammate Kobe Bryant - often questioned his work ethic on the court. But since retiring, Shaq is proving that to be a myth and is clearly taking his fitness very seriously, even admitting that his NBA TV co-host Charles Barkley was his inspiration to get in the gym. “I like to create crazy motivation,” Shaq said during an appearance on Logan Paul’s 'Impaulsive' podcast last year. “I was looking at myself and I had that Charles Barkley retirement body. “I didn’t want my stomach to be over the belt anymore. So I was just like, ‘Let me go ahead and get slim’.” He added: “I was 401 pounds. Now I’m 365. I’m trying to take it back to 345. “I want to have muscles everywhere, and I want to do an underwear ad with my sons [for] Fruit of the Loom, baby.”
