European aviation giant Airbus is preparing to send a team of specialists to help investigate Tuesday's collision between a Japan Airlines passenger jet and a Japan Coast Guard aircraft at Tokyo's Haneda Airport. In a statement released on Tuesday, Airbus said its A350 aircraft, which was involved in the accident, was delivered to Japan Airlines in November 2021. Airbus said the dispatch of a team is in line with recommendations by the International Civil Aviation Organization. The aircraft maker told NHK that the purpose is to provide technical assistance to Japanese transport safety authorities. Also on Tuesday, France's BEA air safety agency told NHK that it is planning to send an investigative team to Japan.
