Mythical Japanese Ningen Believed to be Caught on Camera
Cassandra Yorgey
Mysterious footage claiming to be of a legendary Japanese cryptid known as a “ningen” is circulating social media, showing a large creature on the seabed with a round head and huge bulbous eyes and two flippers that it seems to be using to shuffle itself along the ocean bed. Very little information is presented regarding the video, although presumably it was taken somewhere near Japan.

Reports vary on if it has arms or fins or a mermaid-esque tail, but eyewitnesses agree on one distinctively creepy feature - it lacks any facial features despite having eyes and a mouth the face is weirdly blank.
