A ship carrying food and other humanitarian supplies arrived off the coast of Gaza on Friday in a bid to address the worsening food shortage in the strip.
                
The delivery was coordinated by the European Union and others.
                
Stalled talks between Israel and Hamas over a ceasefire and hostage release are expected to resume after Israel announced its decision to send a delegation to Qatar, which has been mediating the negotiations.
                
Israeli forces have continued their offensives across Gaza.
                
Health officials in Gaza said on Friday that 149 people had been killed in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll in the conflict to 31,490.
                
The United Nations Children&#039;s Fund, or UNICEF, warned also on Friday that many children in Gaza are suffering from malnutrition. The agency said one in three children under two years of age in northern Gaza suffer from acute malnutrition.
                
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said, &quot;An immediate humanitarian ceasefire continues to provide the only chance to save children&#039;s lives and end their suffering.&quot;
                
She called for openings of multiple land border crossings that allow aid to be delivered reliably at scale.
