Dozens killed in airstrike on Myanmar concert NHK

Local media in Myanmar say dozens were killed on Sunday, when the military carried out an airstrike on a concert venue in the northern Kachin State.

Some 50 performers and civilians reportedly lost their lives and 50 others were injured.

The annual concert was held to celebrate the establishment of the political arm of the Kachin Independence Army, a local ethnic armed group.

The army opposes the junta and provides military assistance to the pro-democracy camp fighting the regime.
