White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt says the administration of US President Donald Trump has arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals.
                
She wrote in a post on the social media platform X on Thursday that they include a suspected terrorist, members of a Venezuelan gang and those convicted of sex crimes against minors.
                
Leavitt added that the Trump administration also deported hundreds of illegal immigrant criminals via military aircraft. She stressed, &quot;The largest massive deportation operation in history is well underway.&quot;
                
US media reported on Thursday that the crackdown was mainly conducted in what are described as &quot;sanctuary cities,&quot; including New York and Boston.
                
Fox News reported that a Haitian gang member detained in Boston was seen condemning Trump using vulgar language.
                
Trump said in his inaugural address on Monday, &quot;We will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.&quot;
