Xi stresses the country&#039;s position is to keep opening up the Chinese market to overseas businesses, while focusing on the domestic economy.
                
The president says China will pursue high-quality development by expanding domestic industries and consumer demand.
                
He also pledges to enhance the resilience and safety of supply chains, apparently with a US rivalry in mind.
                
Xi says China will accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy to achieve greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology.
