1. Kenta Maeda, a veteran Japanese pitcher who previously played in Major League Baseball, has signed with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japanese professional baseball. 2. Maeda won multiple awards and titles in his career with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan before moving to MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016. He also played for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers in the MLB. 3. After being released from the Tigers in May, Maeda spent time playing for Triple-A affiliates of the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees. This upcoming season will mark his return to Japanese pro baseball after a 11-year absence.
