The head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Jens Stoltenberg, says NATO will continue to strengthen its partnership with Japan.
                
The NATO secretary general visited Iruma Air Base of Japan&#039;s Air Self-Defense Force near Tokyo on Tuesday.
                
He observed a C-2 transport aircraft that last year delivered relief supplies for Ukrainians who fled Russia&#039;s invasion of their country.
                
Stoltenberg made a speech before about 70 personnel of the base.
                
He said, &quot;The war in Ukraine demonstrates that our security is closely interconnected.&quot;
                
He also said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin wins in Ukraine, it will send a very dangerous message to authoritarian leaders all over the world that when they use military force, they can achieve their goals.
                
He added, &quot;We live in a more dangerous and more unpredictable world. And then we need strong partnerships between countries and alliances that believe in democracy and freedom.&quot;
