Boeing workers have accepted the company's latest offer, putting an end to a walkout that lasted more than 50 days. The labor union representing the workers said on Monday they approved the offer in a vote, with 59 percent in favor. The deal includes a 38-percent pay increase over four years and a one-off bonus of 12,000 dollars. Around 33,000 employees at plants in Washington State and elsewhere went on strike in mid-September after negotiations on wages and other issues stalled between labor and management. It was the union's first strike in 16 years. The workers voted down Boeing's proposals twice before accepting the latest offer presented on Thursday. They will start returning to work. But it's believed production will take time to recover to previous levels. The aircraft maker will likely be in a difficult situation for the time being as it is facing a number of additional issues. In January, a panel including a window came off a Boeing plane during a flight.
