The daughter of the late Japanese musician and composer Sakamoto Ryuichi has written about her feelings for her father, saying she will always love him.

Sakamoto died last month at the age of 71. Sakamoto Miu posted on social media that she felt close to her father and a sense of distance at the same time because she saw he was loved by many people.

The singer wrote that she wore her favorite dress to look pretty when she was going to see him, and she also did that in his final days.

She said he was the coolest father in the world and she admired him. She said she had received thoughtful messages, photos and memories from around the world, and is happy to know he had a good time with so many people in so many places.

She concluded her message by saying she will love her father forever.
