Indonesia boat accident kills at least 15 NHK

In Indonesia, a ferry has sunk off an island in the country's central region, leaving at least 15 people dead.

The rescue authority received a report around midnight on Sunday that a wooden boat with about 40 passengers capsized off the southeast of Sulawesi island. Nineteen passengers are missing.

The cause of the sinking remains unclear.

The authority says the boat, carrying local people traveling between villages, may have been overloaded.
