US auto giant Ford Motor has become the latest global carmaker to exit Russia following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Ford announced on Wednesday that it has sold its 49-percent stake in a local joint venture for a ''nominal value.'' All operations at the company have been suspended since March. But Ford said it "retains the option to repurchase the shares within a five-year period, should the global situation change."
