A high-level meeting between the United States and Iran on Tehran&#039;s nuclear program has started in Oman.
        
                    
                  
The Iranian foreign ministry says US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Oman with their delegations and started the talks on Saturday.
        
                    
                  
The US seeks to limit Iran&#039;s nuclear program to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful uses, such as power generation, and is demanding the US lift sanctions.
