New figures from Japan's auto industry show the extent to which manufacturers suffered last year from a semiconductor shortage and lockdowns in China, which new car sales plummeting to the lowest figure in 45 years. Industry groups say automakers shifted 4,201,321 new units in 2022. That's down 5.5 percent from a year earlier.
