Japan's health ministry says it confirmed 4,515 new cases of coronavirus infection in Tokyo on Saturday.
The daily tally is down 2,092 from a week ago and is the 11th straight day of week-on-week decline.
The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines was 33, up two from the previous day.
The ministry also confirmed 25 deaths from the virus in the capital.
Nationwide, the ministry confirmed 54,782 new cases and 338 deaths on Saturday.
