Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is calling on his global partners to help prevent an act of terrorism by Moscow on the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
                
Zelenskyy told his nation on Thursday that his government had informed the G7 and G20 countries, as well as international organizations, on the urgency surrounding the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. He has warned that radiation does not stop at state borders.
                
Zelenskyy also said that he had instructed Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko to take all necessary measures to protect people in Ukraine.
                
Presidential Adviser Mykhailo Podolyak accused Russia of mining the nuclear power plant, including the cooling ponds.
                
He also urged the international community to take action, saying that whether the Kremlin decides to go ahead or not depends solely on the reaction of the world.
                
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has denied the accusation, calling it a lie.
                
Officials in Moscow say the head of the UN nuclear watchdog will visit the western Russian city of Kaliningrad on Friday.
                
They say IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi is scheduled to hold talks with Alexei Likhachev, the head of Rosatom, Russia&#039;s state-run nuclear energy company.
                
On the battle field, Kyiv said on Thursday that its forces are moving forward step by step in southern parts of the country.
                
Deputy defense minister, Hanna Maliar, posted on social media that the forces continue their offensive actions in Melitopol and the port city of Berdyansk.
