Japanese movie director Mizushiri Yoriko's "Ordinary Life" has won the runner-up Silver Bear Jury Prize at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in the international short film section. Winners in major sections were announced on Saturday, followed by an award ceremony on the same day. The competition's top award is called the Golden Bear award. The annual festival is considered one of the world's three major film showcases, alongside the ones in Cannes and Venice. Mizushiri's "Ordinary Life" is an animated film made with delicate colors and touches. The director says it depicts the idea that "the succession of moments that we repeat over and over is never the same, and everything changes and wavers." In a video message sent to the award ceremony, Mizushiri expressed her joy, and said she is truly honored to receive such an award for her sensory film that has no clear story or lines. "Dreams {Sex Love}" directed by Dag Johan Haugerud from Norway won the Golden Bear for Best Film in the feature film section. Yokohama Satoko, another Japanese director, won the Special Mention award with her work "Seaside Serendipity" in the International Jury in the Generation Kplus Competition.
