Japan has hosted the ski jumping World Cup for the first time in three years. The competition had been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The women's individual Large Hill event took place in the northern city of Sapporo, Hokkaido, on Sunday. Silje Opseth of Norway won the competition, clinching her third women's World Cup title of the season. Ema Klinec from Slovenia and Eva Pinkelnig from Austria came second and third. Five Japanese ski jumpers took part. Seto Yuka finished ninth, and Takanashi Sara tenth. The next women's World Cup will take place in Yamagata City in northeastern Japan, where individual and team events will be held.
