Japanese authorities will offer a second multilingual consultation session for foreign residents affected by the earthquake that struck central Japan on New Year&#039;s Day.
                
The Nagoya Regional Immigration Services Bureau says in-person consultations will be available at the Ishikawa Prefectural International Exchange Center in Kanazawa from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 26.
                
Consultations will be available in English, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Indonesian, Chinese, Portuguese, and other languages. Interpretation services will be provided in-person and by telephone.
                
Online services are also available. For those requesting online consultations, please refer to Japan&#039;s Immigration Services Agency website for the meeting ID and password to join the session online.
                
Japan&#039;s Immigration Services Agency has announced measures to make it easier for quake-affected foreigners to extend their residence status by bypassing regular procedures until the end of June.
