Crimean Bridge closed again after series of early morning explosions through occupied Crimea A series of explosions rocked two cities in occupied Crimea early on Dec. 5, once again closing traffic to the Crimean Bridge. At least nine explosions were heard in the Arshintseve and Voikove areas of Kerch, residents said as reported by the Telegram channel SHOT. The explosions occurred in the sky above Kerch, and preliminary information suggests that the air defense system was activated. Explosions were heard in Feodosia in occupied Crimea around 4:00 a.m., followed by “gunfire from something large caliber,” reported the Crimean Wind Telegram channel. A Pantsir-51 anti-aircraft missile system at an oil depot in Feodosia was fired, the channel later revealed. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was halted due to the explosions, the Crimean Bridge: Operational Information Telegram channel reported. 35 Ukrainian drones were used in the attack, with Russian air defense destroying 22 and intercepting another 13 in Crimea and the Azov Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed at 5:00 a.m. Later, the ministry reported four more drones. A storm in occupied Crimea on Dec. 1 caused significant damage to the Crimean Bridge’s defensive structures. Russian occupying forces plan to restore the Crimean Bridge’s defensive structures within two weeks, said Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate representative Andriy Yusov on Dec. 4, adding that Ukrainian forces do not intend to let that happen.
