Supporters of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro are calling it "the biggest fraud in their electoral history." They have taken to the streets to protest an election they feel was stolen. The president himself said he will comply with the results -- but has yet to concede defeat.

Bolsonaro broke his silence two days after results were announced. He spoke to reporters in Brasilia on Tuesday.

He said he has always been labeled as anti-democratic, but unlike his opponents, he has always played "within the lines of the Constitution."

He refused to admit he lost to the leftist leader and former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. However, justices on the Supreme Court say he authorized the transfer of power.

Thousands of protestors are blocking highways around the country. They called Lula a "thief" and said he deserves to be in prison. They have disrupted supply chains and forced dozens of international flights to be cancelled. Police have mobilized in an effort to disperse them.

Despite the protests, Lula is getting ready to return to office. On Monday, he met with Argentine President Alberto Fernandez. He also spoke over the phone with US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Lula previously served two terms as president, from 2003 through 2010. He also served 19 months in jail for corruption.
