More than 1,600 people have tested their goldfish-catching skills at an annual event in Nara Prefecture, western Japan. Yamatokoriyama City has been hosting the contest since 1995 to boost its profile as a center for raising goldfish. The competitors were given three minutes to catch as many fish as possible with fragile paper scoops. In the team competition, the contestants surrounded tubs that contained about 1,000 goldfish. The onlookers cheered when one contender caught two fish in a single scoop. A member of a team of former high school classmates said three people catching three fish is a poor result, but it was a slight improvement from last year when they only got two. He added that he wants to enjoy taking part again in next year's competition. ---------------- Quiz 1: Question text: Where has the annual goldfish-catching contest been held since 1995? A.
