Israeli forces have been escalating their airstrikes and ground raids of Gaza. On Thursday, they released video of some of those attacks.

Officers say they hit at least 250 targets, including Hamas command centers and rocket launchers positioned in civilian areas. They say they killed Hamas leaders responsible for the surprise assault on October 7 on Israeli towns.

The Israelis say their ground forces also sent tanks into northern Gaza to prepare for "expanded operations."

They released video of engineers with the elite Yahalom unit, who are believed to be preparing to destroy tunnels used by Hamas to get around and to store weapons. The militants may also be using the tunnels to hide the more than 200 hostages they have held for weeks.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said in Tel Aviv on Thursday that "the maneuver" will be carried out on a day that is "not far off."

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki accused the Israelis of committing "war crimes" and waging a "war of revenge." He traveled to the Netherlands to press the International Criminal Court to step in. He said the war has "no real objective" and that the Israelis are aiming for the "total destruction" of Gaza.

At least 7,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have been killed in three weeks of fighting.
