People in the US have marked two years since a deadly attack on their seat of government. They commemorated the anniversary of the Capitol riot and honored the men and women who stood in defense. President Joe Biden cited their &quot;exemplary contributions to democracy.&quot;
                
Biden hosted a ceremony at the White House on Friday to award the Presidential Citizens Medal to 14 people. They included police officers injured in the attack.
