UN chief: Gaza has not received 'a drop of aid' in over a month NHK

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says more than an entire month has passed without even "a drop of aid" entering the Gaza Strip.

Guterres was speaking to reporters on Tuesday, more than a month after Israel cut off deliveries of relief supplies to Gaza.

Israel has also resumed attacks against the enclave amid a stalemate in talks on extending a ceasefire with Hamas.

Guterres described the situation in Gaza: "No food. No fuel. No medicine."

He said, "As the occupying power, Israel has unequivocal obligations under international law."

He urged the country to swiftly allow humanitarian aid supplies into Gaza.

Asked about the possible impact of US reciprocal tariffs, Guterres replied: "Nobody wins with a trade war. Everybody tends to lose. And I'm particularly worried with the most vulnerable developing countries."

He added that the impact will be more devastating in those countries.
